Welcome! As a unit of the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE), the goal of the Kansas Association of Teacher Educators (ATE-K) is to support quality teacher education in Kansas by cooperating with the National Association of Teacher Educators and with other professional organizations and institutions concerned with the professional growth of all persons involved with teacher education programs.
The association serves as a professional clearing house, a service agency, an integrating body to aid cooperating teachers and supervisory personnel at both the college and public school levels in the improvement of student teaching and other field experiences. Experimentation and research in the area of teaching are encouraged and promoted at conferences and workshops directly related to teacher education programs.
